You are not the problem. The advice is. Most of it sells the dream and skips the numbers. hustle&passive exists to do the opposite.
I'm a geotechnical engineer. I've worked on projects in France, Morocco and internationally, and my job comes down to one thing: making sure what gets built stands on solid ground. Before anything goes up, you test the soil, check the numbers and plan for what could go wrong.
When I started looking at ways to earn money online, I noticed that nobody applied that discipline. Side hustles were sold on screenshots and promises. Almost no one said what an idea really pays, how many hours it takes or what it costs to start.
So I launched hustle&passive to do it properly. In 2026 I rebuilt the whole site around one standard: every idea comes with three numbers: realistic pay, hours per week and startup cost. They come from my own tests, or from clearly named sources when I haven't tried something myself.
Today the site covers side hustles, passive income, digital products and AI tools, and more readers find it every month.
A $200-a-month side hustle you actually start beats a perfect plan you never launch.
If something earns $87 a month, you deserve to hear $87, along with the hours it took.
Extra income only matters if it buys back your time. That is why every guide shows the dollars and the hours.
Gig apps pay this week. A website, an email list or a digital product can keep paying for years.
Every guide ends with one next action, because one small step taken is worth more than ten articles read.
The full process is written down in the editorial guidelines.

Make money onlineThe options that hold up, and the ones that mostly pay the person selling the course.
Passive incomeHow much work goes in up front, and how long before anything runs on its own.

When I'm not testing a new tool or writing a guide, you'll find me travelling, watching football or looking for a great meal. The photo above is from Venice, a good reminder of what all this is for: more freedom over your time, and the means to enjoy it.
